ooohhhh....I'm SO hung over... Ok, to say this event was off the hook would be a feeble attempt at sounding urban. So let's just say that it was a fuckin good time and I think I'll be flashin back for quite some time. There was this old bitch flashing her goosh all over the place, and oh yeah, don't even get me started on the 75 year old dude smokin' meth next to the stage.

Last week, a good friend of mine passed away. She went to take a nap and the cops found her in bed three days later. She was 44. WTF?! Are you serious?! Nope! Fuck that! Not me! I'm not going quietly into the night. This is how I'm going!

Inspiration

In an attempt to re-capture some lost youth I've started painting again after about 15 years of stagnation. Or maybe it's just to get my mind off work, kids, wife, mortgage, etc. etc. etc. I found these painting online that inspire me (some artists dig nudes).

I'd like to say I'm responsible for the bruise on Betty Bob's thigh, but I can not!

The Beer Booters are a group of guys paying homage to craft beer and rad bikes. You could also call them, uh lemme see......SWINGIN' DICKS! A full report is pending...

The more things change..

Feelin' a little restless lately. I guess I need a new project to engage my brain, because I keep making changes to bikes that are complete. Latest changes to the Trophy: New (old) $1 bicycle bars from the Long Beach Swap. Chopped down throttle and grips. And the addition of this super sick super slim SlimFab tank, complete with vintage Ducati cap!

Second Great Depression

A lot of members of the media are calling the state of our economy the "Second Great Depression". No doubt times are tough, but when I was a kid, I listened to stories my grandparents told. I've read "The Grapes of Wrath". I've looked at the amazing Dorothea Lange photos. The United States grew calloused skin from the decade leading up to WWII. And we are a nation of swingin' dicks because of, in part, the Great Depression. We were forced to become a nation of survivors. A nation that didn't have the luxury of blaming and finger pointing. Our grandparents had to do whatever it took to feed and clothe our parents. So, quit bitching, pay respect to your grandparents, and get back to work.

Saturday was the King of Clubs and it did NOT dissappoint! Couple of the Dicks got together and watched a whole lot of drag racing, heard some great bands, and reconnected with old friends! This event gets bigger every year!
