Messerschmitt
Willy (yes, Willy) Messerschmitt didn't just design kick ass fighters for the Luftwaffe. Oh no....
After World War II, Messerschmitt factories were devastated. Following the capitulation of Nazi Germany, he was arrested in 1945 for his involvement in the Hitler regime. Messerschmitt was then tried in a Nazification court in 1948 where he was found to be a "reluctant beneficiary" of the regime. "His company temporarily left aviation due to the postwar ban on aircraft production, and his firm produced prefabricated housing and sewing machines." However in 1958, Messerschmitt returned to his life long love of making aircraft and between 1968 and 1969, the Messerschmitt-Bolkow-Blohm company was built with Messerschmitt as honorary chairman. Whatever...I just think he built cool shit...
The Power of Norton...
These look like relatively nice young ladies. What cold they possibly see in two young hoodlums like these? And just look at Johnnie Switchblade there copping a cheap feel...Good for him...

Re-Birth
We ALL love old helmets right? They're cheap, they look cool, they don't protect shit in a crash, etc.
BUT! One of the bad things about old helmets is the liners deteriorate and leave foam crumbs all over. No problem! Look what the talented Rene Chavez at Primo Helmet Designs can do! Beautiful? Give him a call...

OMG! We're missing it! Oktoberfest is going on RIGHT now!
I fucking missed it again. I swear the year I grow some balls and actually buy a plane ticket to Munich will be the year they cancel it.

Just SOME of the shit that is wrong with American bike culture.
Motorcycling is more than a hobby. To some, motorcycles connect to the soul more than any other machine. They represent escape. They not only conjure memories of our dads and grand dads, but also represent the promise of release. Manifest Destiny.
To others, motorcycles provide the opportunity to foolishly spend discretionary income in an attempt to revive long-dead cool. Bikes and "biker" culture offer, to most, weekend lifestyle activities and Monday morning stories.
Here are a few things wrong with "biker" culture:

Take a purpose built motorcycle, spend a bunch of money on rediculous mods, end up in the weeds.
But it's ok because your riding buddy, that has the same stupid mods, can throw up the devil horns and keep it real.

A Vincent in the rafters....
If you ever find yourself in San Diego and are sick of the zoo and Seaworld and Lego Land, and blah blah blah, tear yourself away from the wife and kids and head down to National City for a visit to Sonny Angel. This is an old school motorcycle shop the likes of which are disappearing far too quickly. Catch Sonny on a good day and he'll regale you with stories of early San Diego politics, Isle of Man heroics, and Bonneville greatness! This, in my opinion, is more national treasure than repair shop. And, no shit, he has a Vincent in the rafters!
