In 60 years...
Do you think people 60 years from now will look at digital images of us, wearing our shitty Walmart clothes made in Indonesia or Bangladesh or whatever shit hole country/sovereign state has the cheapest labor these days and say, "God DAMN! They had style! I wish our clothes looked like that today!"? Nah, I don't see my great grand kids hot rodding a Prius neither...
Dave Mann....
I missed Chopperfest this year. I also missed the most beautiful knuckle I have ever seen!
All I can say is "WOW!"

Dick in the Dirt
Found out this week that I will be leaving my job of 6 years. I am (was) an Industrial Designer with Motorola. The suits upstairs have decided that, in the interest of pleasing the board, it makes good financial sense to let me (and 28 of my team mates) go 3 weeks before Christmas. Way to stay classy Motorola...

Stockers Cycle Salvage
Took a trip down to Chula Vista this weekend in the hopes of finding some tall enduro shocks. We don't have an abundance of salvage places in San Diego, which is kinda surprising if you consider we're only 15 minutes from Tijuana.
If you go online and research Stockers they get a LOT of really bad reviews. They're "assholes", they have shitty customer service, they're dishonest, they're expensive...etc. I don't know where that comes from, because I found them to be pretty cool. The pricing was ok, and they're open to negotiation if you think they're too high. In the end, I got the parts I needed at a decent price, and had fun digging around in all the junk. Not a bad way to spend a Saturday morning.

She's Rollin'!
Went to Stockers Cycle salvage this weekend and found the elusive 15" enduro shocks. Mounted them up as well as the knobbies and BOOM, dirtbike! The "To Do" list is getting shorter. The bottom pic shows what I started with..
